We are using GDI Plug-In for Raw Text recognition .but we are facing some problem with identifying multiple Raw Texts.
For Example: In one page if it is more than 25 Raw Texts, we are able to get only 20 or 22 raw texts.
But sometimes 18 also. Can anyone provide the solution for this?
Thanks,
Manohar
Hi
Using 2.3.8, we configured GDI Plug-In manually and it's capturing RawText and RawImage.
Recently we downloaded Ranorex 3.0 and tried to capture RawText/RawImage using GDI Plug in and below message is shown on highlighting control ( same control getting recognized using 2.3.8 ).
"Please make sure that the Ranorex test process as well as the target application are 32 bit applications. 64 bit applications are currently not supported for capturing raw text."
What needs to be done to recognize RawText and RawImage in 3.0 ( we are using same application as AUT for both versions)

Re: 3.0 GDI Plug-in issue
Hello,
with Ranorex 3.0 the Rawtext plugin doesn't need and must not be installed separately, because it is already part of Ranorex 3.0. Please remove the rawtext plugin files again, if you separately installed the plugin, and restart Ranorex.
With Ranorex 3.0 you
- open the Spy
- right click on the entry that represents your application
- in the context menu choose "Add Process to GDI Capture List"
The GDI rawtext plugin works only for 32 bit applications and you must use the 32 bit Spy.
This was the case for Ranorex 2.3.8 as well.
But only in Ranorex 3.0 a warning is issued.

Roland
