AccessibleName per default on Ranorex Spy

Post by MOLIS » Tue Nov 21, 2017 10:20 am

Hi,

I'm new in this forum.. I installed Ranorex 7.2.1 few weeks ago and now I'm trying to analyze the recognize objects function via Ranorex Spy with our software under Uniface 9.7 (4GL) but I can't activate per default into tag 'accessories' the label 'AccessibleName'..
I found the possibility to activate it via right mouse click on element in Path Editor->element->Node Name-> MSAA-> acc but isn't per default and I have to do that for each element into the container..
Can you tell me how can I param this on Ranorex?

Many thanks for your support :D

Hi,

Welcome here ;) At first, please upload a Ranorex snapshot (not screenshot) of the element in question.

If I understand you right, you want to make the AccessibleName attribute the one with highest priority. This could be done in Ranorex xpath weight editor, described here:
https://www.ranorex.com/help/latest/ran ... le-library
And here:

You simply need to increase the AccessibleName weight value and decrease the weight rule of attribute, which currently takes over AccessibleName in your app (I guess ID)?
