Re: APK file error
Hi there,
there are still bugs in the ApkTool which is used by Ranorex to instrument the target.
I had an issue to overcome in conjunction with Facebook integtarted in my app.
The Instrumentation went well but the instrumented app did start and close immediatly after that.
I found the bug (a XML misshandling by the ApkTool) and were able to fix this as a work arround by hand.
I also posted this bug to the ApkTool developpers and the confirmed to change this.
My last look at the release notes toled me, that the fix was not included in ApkTool 2.0 by now but I hope that it will be in the near future in a coming release.
Anyway you may have a compareble issue (with the ApkTool) which is not related to Ranorex itself.
Not sure if that helps...
Kind regads,
Hardy

Re: APK file error
Hi,
even though Ranorex included ApkTool 2.0.1 in Ranorex release 5.4.1 the issue in the ApkTool (not in Ranorex)is not solved by now. I've been posting the issue to the ApkTool team quite a while ago and they stated that it's known. I don't know why it's not solved. There i've also posted a work around: https://github.com/wting/android-apktool/issues/780
Kind regards,
Hardy

Re: APK file error
Hi,
I guess the problem posted in the screenshots is the short 'Instrument timeout' value (2 minutes). I used to see it when instrumenting apps of +5MB.
So go to Settings>Plugins>Mobile and set 'Instrument timeout' to 30m
That was the solution in my case.
Cheers,
