I've tried connecting my ipad using USB to ranorex installed in PC(win8) however it seems that ranorex could'nt find the device.
can somebody help me with this.

I'm afraid, there is not enough information about your problem and configuration. Please answer the following questions:
What's your Ranorex version? Latest&greatest is 5.4.6. If you are using something older, please update to the latest one.
What error exactly are you getting?
Have you tried wifi connection? I'm not working with mobile devices, but I'm under the impression that wifi connection is more stable and preferred way of connection to iOS devices?
Have you tried to increase the connection timeout to something like 2-5mins?

In addition, you MUST have iTunes installed on the Windows PC in order to connect to an iOS device. iTunes will automatically install the Windows drivers that Ranorex needs in order to connect to the device.
