can't open any repository on a 64Bit machine

Post by JayDee » Wed May 26, 2010 9:17 am

Hi :) ,

this is our first thread here so first of all just a little introduction: our company is located in hamburg(germany) and we are using ranorex since about a year now for our major products (default software solutions using .NET 2.0 atm). Overall we are happy and satisfied with ranorex and it brings us a lot of additional possibilities for our regular black-box-testing.

Now we have a problem we cannot solve on our own...

We are using a Windows Server 2008 r2 with suitable hardware (just since a week soo not that much experience right now). Ranorex Version 2.3.1. The test object is build in 32Bit, the test framework also. We are not working directly with the ranorex studio but we use the *.rxrep format. If we gonna try to open a Repository with Ranorex Spy (32Bit v 64Bit makes no diff) Spy pop's the message "invalid repository". But all Repositories with which we tried this are valid as we can see on our default working machines (32bit, xp pro) ... so no way to open a Repo and no testcase is running...

any ideas anyone?

thanks so far and best regards! JayDee
