We're using Ranorex v. 3.3.2.19144 on windows 7 64 bit with Google Chrome to test our Website with a huge amount of flash/flex elements.
Most of the time everything works fine but from time to time Ranorex cannot find any element inside the flash-app. We have build a workaround that refreshs the browser. This workaround works but is still a workaround. This problem is not only an automation problem. Ranorex spy is also not able to access the flash-element in such a situation.
Any ideas?

this could happen in up to 1/3 of all iteration in a TestCase

Could you post us the generated flash log file after the issue happened again?
This would help us to analyze this issue faster.
The log file can be found here: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\Logs,
please consider that you have to first "Enable Flash Trace Log" in the instrumentation wizard.

Could you please try to upgrade Ranorex to 4.0.2 and check if you can solve this issue. If this will not help we have to analyze the issue in more detail. To do this it would be very helpful to get access to your application. Is this possible?
