I have been trying to fill a form using Ranorex Automation on an Ipad.
I can record a sequence of fields being filled & it works on playback once or twice, but then it fails, as many of the fields have moved?
I thought I might try to validate the field labels & locate them first - to give me a clue as to where the input fields might have disappeared to, but the Validation screen does not give me the option of zooming in on these elements. The smallest area it will highlight is the UIView.
I can navigate down to one of the elements I want using the Tree View on the left, but the element I want says it is invisible. It is plainly not invisible, I can see it on the IPad screen.
The developer has no idea why the controls appear to be swimming about in this way.
I have attached a snapshot of the form in question before adding data & after adding some data.
Before adding data:
After adding some data:
The fields I am having difficult with are the input fields labeled Address Line 1, 2, 3, 4 and Postcode.

Re: Cannot validate elements of UIView on iPad
Hi stapes,
I’m not exactly sure why your application behaves in this manner. In order to analyze this in more detail, I’d need the application. This would allow me to analyze and reproduce the problem directly in our controlled environment.
May I ask you if it would be possible to send us the non-instrumented ipa by email?
Thank you.
Regards,
Markus (S)
