Changing the path of an element

Hi,

I am automating a form and its path is recorded as

/form[@automationid='mainWindow']

I want to use [@name=''NameoftheForm'] instead of [@automationid]. Is there any way I can change this path?

Sure, in RanorexRecorder select the corresponding item in the repository editor, click on the right column to edit the path.

Sorry I didn't mention earlier, but I am using Ranorex Studio and not the stand alone recorder.

click on the right column to edit the path.

Do you mean the path column in the repository? Well it does allow me to type thing in but does not actually change it. That is, it does not save whatever I type in for changing the path.[/img]
