"Components.classes[cid] is undefined" on 4.0.3 FF

Post by TheFakeShemp » Tue Apr 30, 2013 5:10 pm

Ranorex Studio Ver. 4.0.3
Ranorex Automation extension
Firefox Version 20.0.1
Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit

I've run Ranorex before on Firefox, but today for some reason the script is erring out every time I attempt to run it. I get the error "Ranorex Error:TypeError: Components.classes[cid] is undefined", followed by several "TypeError: rxAutomation3 is undefined" errors. I've done some digging, and this error has appeared before for others on the forum, but only for outdated/unsupported browsers. Everything seems to be up to date. Please help.

Thank you for reporting the issue.
Firefox 20.0.1 should work with our current release.
This error message is created by Firefox and not by Ranorex.
Please take a look at the following post in the Firefox forum: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/672099
Please try to uninstall the Ranorex plugin from your Firefox Browser and install it again using the Ranorex Instrumentation Wizard.
Thank you!
