Convert Ranorex report to HTML

Post by Vinitha » Tue Oct 01, 2013 7:09 pm

Hi,
We are in the process of converting the Ranorex report(.rxlog) file to HTML format and send it different mail addresses who don't have Ranorex installed in their machines. When we send the reports to them and when it opened in HTML format it is showing blank report instead of the contents. Could somebody please help us on this issue?

Hello,

Actually, you would only need to replace the extension rxlog with html in the properties of your Test Suite.
You will find more information in our blog Share your Ranorex Report using any Browser.

Thanks Marcus.

We tried that but it was not successful.
When we attach all the files to the mail and open the HTML file, it comes out blank.

Thanks
vinitha

Hello,

Please note that the following files need to be placed in the same folder:
[*] RanorexReport4.css
[*] RanorexReport4.png
[*] RanorexReport4.xsl

Do you open your report on your local system or on another system?
Which browser do you use to open your report?

We tried all this but no success. It does not open in our local system as well as in another system. We are trying to use IE.

Could you also send us a sample project if you have seen it?

Are you getting a warning from IE?

If so, you will need to change your IE settings to "Allow Local Content".

Hello Vinitha,

Could you please post or send us ([email protected]) your report files (*.html and *.html.data)?
This would help us to analyze your issue.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Markus (T)
