There are three options in:
Settings > Recorder Defaults > Coordinate Recording Mode
These options are:
1. None
2. Pixel
3. Proportional
When testing a web page, does choosing any one of the above options increase the likelihood of Ranorex finding elements on the web page, when the test is run?
If it doesn't matter exactly where Ranorex clicks on the web page element, is "None" the best option to use?
Edit: Also, would increasing the times for any of the "Use timings also for recorded actions" options, increase the likelihood of Ranorex finding elements on the web page?
Thanks!

Re: Coordinate Recording Mode & Timing - Best Options?
Hi Fergal,
These settings have nothing to do with the ability of Ranorex to identify web elements. These settings can affect the test execution but not the identification of web elements.
The recording mode just specifies where Ranorex should click within a recognized element.
What option fits you best depends on your web page under test. Pixel is the default value and should work quite well in most cases, when the size of an control could significantly change I would prefer using Proportional but None should also work as well
.

Markus
