Copy Recording Feature

Post by Gunner1980 » Thu Sep 02, 2010 6:17 pm

I am having some issues with copying recordings. Here is the scenario, I am working in a directory called Folder1. Under this directory I have a recording named Install1.rxrec.

So basically I have /Folder1/Install1.rxrec

I want to copy this recording and use it as my starting point for a new recording which I want to name Install2.rxrec and I want to keep this in the same directory.

So basically I have /Folder1/Install1.rxrec and I right click it and select copy. I then click on the Folder1 directory and attempt to copy the recording to that file.

This does not work, what I would expect it to do is create a new recording called Install1copy.rxrec or something like that. Instead I get no error alert and the copy never takes place. In order for me to complete what I want to do I have to copy Install1.rxrec to a different folder. Then I have to rename Install1.rxrec to something else. Then I have to wait for the alert to rename the associated .cs files and click yes to perform the rename. Then I have to cut the recording from where I temporarily pasted it to Folder1/ where I originally wanted it.

Can this be fixed please? It is very time consuming to perform a simple copy.

Thanks for posting this feedback! We already know about that limitation and have already committed ourselves to do something about it in a next version :)
