As late as August, there was an item under "Planned" that had to do with making data connectors more modular. This was a feature that I was really looking forward to because of how my tests are setup.

Global data sources: Easily share data sources within a solution across multiple test suites by separating data sources from the test suite.

Has this feature been dropped from consideration?

Having data connectors be static entities is very cumbersome if you are doing any kind of complex testing with database connectors. The whole point of a relational database is to be able to map relationships and limit data at runtime based on those relationships. With static connectors that isn't possible without jumping through significant hoops. In addition, static connectors can only be attached to one test suite, which means they have to be recreated if they are needed in other suites. This is time-consuming and a maintenance problem.

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier. You are correct. Unfortunately, we had to remove this item from our road map because of internal reasons. One of our product managers will get in contact with you directly in order to discuss the topic in more detail. This feature is still planned, but we don't know when we can deliver this to our customers.
