Data-Sources of differing lengths

Post by loonquawl » Mon Dec 18, 2017 3:36 pm

Could somebody be bothered to give me a hint about the usage of Data Sources of differing row-lengths?
The usual behaviour of Ranorex is looping the Smart-Folder over the rows of the data source - every iteration increases thee row-count by one.

Now if there are two files with the same number of rows, the expected behaviour is to just iterate over their rows in sync. But if some files have just one row? Or both have multiple rows, but one is shorter than the other? Is there an expected behaviour for this?

I'm not quite sure I understand your problem? Each data connector contains just one file and each data connector loops as many times as is the number of rows of the attached data file. So if there is just one row, data connector loops one time. If there are more rows, data connector loops to the last available (non-empty) row.
