Does Ranorex support recording right click and context menu?

Post by snowli » Mon Jan 18, 2010 9:45 pm

Hello,

We are currently using QTP and run into trouble with having to right-click very small GUI element and to open its context menu. Using QTP, one has to write script for each of such cases. Does Ranorex have a solution to solve this without having to write code?

Thanks, Snow

Yes, with Ranorex recorder you can right-click something and select an item from the context menu that pops up. While I do not use the recorder personally, I just tried it out on the File Explorer and right clicked a file, selected copy, right clicked again and selected paste. Everything recorded and played back just fine.

Now, the real question is will it work with your AUT using whatever control sets it is using. You should download the fully functional trial and check it out. http://www.ranorex.com/download.html
If this or any response has helped you, please reply to the thread stating that it worked so other people with a similar issue will know how you fixed your issue!
