Hello,
I could not find any post here that talks about WKWebView and whether it is supported by Ranorex. If it is supported and have done some work with it, can you please share some info here?
Hoping that Ranorex does support WKWebView since our Dev Team is claiming that it works faster than the iOSWebView. That's kind of telling us that upcoming apps will be using WKWebView also.
Thanks.
Gilbert

Re: Does Ranorex support WKWebView?
Hi Gilbert,
Unfortunately the WKWebView is currently not supported, but we are currently working on it.
This feature is planned to be released in one of our next versions, but unfortunately I cannot give you a time frame. Please also note that we reserve the right to change the roadmap at any time. Also features might not be in a certain release as well as delays might occur.
Thank you for your understanding.
Regards,
Markus (S)

Re: Does Ranorex support WKWebView?
Thanks for letting us know, Markus.
The hybrid mobile iOS app that we are currently testing is basically for filling up forms and unfortunately, all the contents/objects in all 12 different forms (currently) were done using WKWebView.
Our Dev Team claims that our app performs much faster with WKWebView versus using the UIWebView so most likely, they will be developing more apps using WKWebView.
It would be nice to know if there is any temporary work-around that we could try to handle this issue using Ranorex.
Thanks.

Hi Gilbert,
I'm afraid there is currently no workaround available, but our development team is doing their best to provide support for this webview in one of our next versions.
Thank you for your understanding.
