Drawing in an iOS App

Post by Patrick Hollerbach » Tue Dec 13, 2016 8:44 am

Hi,

we have a iOS App with a paint-function for making notes.
How can we automate the drawing?
I recorded the drawing action but ranorex registers only touch and longtouch events.
I tried to use TouchStart, TouchMove and TouchEnd, but it seems that they are only available for android?

Thanks for any help
Patrick

Hi Patrik,

I'm afraid, the only substitute for TouchStart, TouchMove and TouchEnd actions on iOS is currently Swipe gesture. I know, It's not quite the same, but it may help? ;)

maybe code an algorithm (USerCode) that decides where to touch on the screen and the effect will be like drawing manually.

I already tried to work with simple touch commands to simulate drawing, but with touch I get only simple dots. I have to draw long lines.

Hi Patrick,

Unfortunately I'd need additional information about your current system and Ranorex installation.
May I ask you if you could provide this information?
Please also let me know if you could send me a copy of your non-instrumented application.
This would allow me to get a better overview about the used controls.

Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Markus (S)
