Hi Ranorexers,

What would cause an element to be suddenly found using Robust path? The log line is

[User]: Item 'ErrMsg_InternalSystemError' was found using Robust path.

The test passed for more than a year and now suddenly this element is found. To work past it, I've even updated the XPath twice and still the same issue. The element is not even present on the screen--regardless of the XPath.

I don't have the advanced Robust setting selected; I read other posts about how it works. I understand that if the option IS selected, it's only for elements generated after the setting is selected. (How does one even recognize an element has been generated using Robust XPath?? I tried to detect in a simple demo but the generated element looks the same.)

Suggestions on how to get rid of this? I'm at wits end.

Hi,

If you don't want Robust Path to be used for a particular repo element, then it should be enough to simply delete Robust Path entry for given repo element? And if you don't like Robust Path to be generated for each new element, then simply disable this feature in Ranorex Settings >>Advanced Tab >> Expert settings, as described here:
