Error: LineageGlueRule 'win32_top_level' caused NullReferenc

Post by LizaDas » Thu Aug 01, 2013 4:38 pm

I keep getting the following error at a specific step of the recording. I have used the Ranorex Spy to verify that the right XPath is being selected. When using the Spy, Ranorex is able to select the element. Even if I click on "Highlight Element" for in the recorded step, it highlights the object. However every time I run the recording, I first get the following message and then the next step fails.

LineageGlueRule 'win32_top_level' caused NullReferenceException on Execute. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I am using Ranorex v. 4.0.5, IE8 and a Win7 64 bit OS.

I'm sorry, that is not a known issue, so we need some more information about it.

Have you tried reinstalling Ranorex completely?
Can you please provide us a Ranorex report containing that message? Thank you!
