Filter Child Elements when adding to repository

Post by atom » Fri Jun 05, 2009 9:49 am

Say I have selected a form in Spy tool, and right click on it and select "Add to repository (inc. children)", it would be great to be able to specify what child control types to add to the repository.

For example the form im using has alot of container object, I dont need these in my repository, all Id like is:

- Text Box
- Button
- Labels

We already have a feature request that allows you to filter the elements shown in the element tree by an RxPath; i.e. only elements matching the path would be displayed, e.g. all buttons/labels/... in an application, and can then be added to the repository at once using the "Add to Repository (incl. Children)" context menu entry.

This feature is currently being implemented and is not far from being finished, so I suppose that it will be included in the next minor version release.
