Hi
I noticed that the Ranorex Firefox plugin is not compatible with Firefox 4. Do you guys know if and when Ranorex will work with Firefox 4?
Also, is it still the case that tests are the same for IE and Firefox but different for Chrome?
Thanks
Scott

Excellent, thanks Peter!
Re: Firefox 4
I'm curious about how future versions of Ranorex will support future versions of FireFox and Chrome, since these companies have stepped up their release cycles to have new versions every 3 months or so. I know this is causing a huge nightmare for development companies (us included) and I wondered what Ranorex's official stance on this was?
If we are lucky, FireFox 7 and FireFox 8 will just work with Ranorex 3.1 with no changes required, and likewise Ranorex 3.2 will work with Chrome future versions as well.

Re: Firefox 4
Hi,
Google Chrome will be supported with 3.2.
There will be no version hell for Google Chrome, because Chrome doesn't change their interfaces so often.
To keep up with the Firefox release cycle, we currently tend to provide the support with patch releases, too.
Currently we release with Ranorex 3.1 support for Firefox 4,5,6.

We are also not amused, but we will do our best, to release a patch version of Ranorex to support the newest Firefox versions (FF 7,8....) as fast as possible.Aracknid wrote:I know this is causing a huge nightmare for development companies (us included) and I wondered what Ranorex's official stance on this was?
