Hello Support Team,
It's been a long time i've not encountered issues with Ranorex but today it's the case
Ranorex seems to not be able to recognize the content of a firemonkey container in my AUT.
You will find it as attached file.
Any solutions ?
Thanks for your help
Florent

Hi Florent,
It seems that the only chance to identify the elements in this form(FMTCwnFMXParentedForm) is to try to add it to the GDI Capture List as described here:
Testing of Legacy Applications.
If this shouldn't work I am afraid there is just the possibility to use image based or coordinate based actions to automate the specific form(FMTCwnFMXParentedForm).
Regards,
Markus

Markus,
As a Ranorex user since more than 2 years, i've already tried GDI capture solution without success.
I thought that you could produce a plugin to solve this issue because firemonkey it's not an old technology to consider as legacy.
If there is no others choices, indeed, i will work with coordinate based actions
Regards,
Florent

Hi Florent,
I am unfortunately afraid that you need to use coordinates based in action as a workaround.
In order to raise and discuss your feature request about the plugin for Firemonkey may I ask you to send an email to
[email protected]?
We want to handle feature request via email in order to avoid misunderstandings.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,

the Firemonkey part of the tested application is not very important so i can use your workaround solution for the moment.
i will contact you by email if the situation changes
thank you
