Did you look at the features included (or not included) in each?

Pretty much, you get the Ranorex Studio, Test Suite and Recorder in Premium, not in Professional.

My understanding is that the Pro license is good mainly in case of integrating Ranorex with the Visual Studio?

Hi,

The Premium license includes every feature/tool of Ranorex so all Ranorex tools including Ranorex Studio, Ranorex Recorder, Ranorex Spy and Ranorex Repository. With the premium edition also testers having no skills with scripting are able to setup automated tests.
The Professional license does not include Ranorex Studio and the Recorder so it is pretty much for API usage only. In combination with your own development IDE (eg. Visual Studio) one can develop tests based on the Ranorex Core API.

Regards,
Markus
