Font is too small when change 100% scaling.

Post by praveenadevi.B » Thu Jan 19, 2023 7:00 am

Hello Team,
Recently i have installed 10.5.1 in windows 10 pro.i changed display resolution is 1920*1080 and scale is = 125% as recommended .but i couldn't see Apply ,ok and cancel button's on bound variable window, so i again i changed in to scale as 100% then i could see everything working perfectively. But laptop font is too small i could see properly ..

Please anyone help me how to overcome this..

Thanks Alot in advance!

Hi, could you please share the screenshot of the bound variable window at 125%?

Sounds like you are using a 4K monitor. Lots of posts about this.
"scale is = 125% as recommended" <-- 125% scale is NOT what Ranorex recommends or supports.
You need to run in 100% scale when running Ranorex.

Options--->General--->Font affects the code editor sizing, but unfortunately not the overall UI.

125% could work, but some buttons could wrap to the "new line" (e.g., in Spy, "Apply" button can go underneath the RanoreXpath line). I've tried 125% on a 2k monitor, the bound variable window (if i understand correctly which one you are referring to) had all the buttons visible. So, if you could share the screenshot of your window, that would help troubleshoot further.

Thanks for sharing the screenshots. I can't reproduce the bottom 3 buttons completely disappearing on a 2k monitor (with different resolution/scale combos), and i don't think draggin the bottom-right corner of that window will help in this.

So, the possible solution could be setting the custom scale between 100 and 125 on your monitor ("Advanced Scaling Settings" link) while you edit the text-based content in Studio. Then switching it back to 100% for execution (it could still work at >100%, so feel free to try that first). At this time, there is no other way to manage Studio UI zoom.
