Global Assembly Cache

Post by acolomitchi » Fri Feb 09, 2007 12:25 am

Hi guys,

We need some of the assemblies, that we wrote on top of RanorexNet.dll, be installed in the GAC. To be able to do this, it seems that the RanorexNet.dll have to be "strong-named" as well.
I wonder if it is possible for you to release a new minor version, in which the RanorexNet.dll assemblies (for .Net 1.1 and 2) are signed.
We're using the Ranorex Pro version 1.0.0.0 (with a site licence).

Many thanks,

Adrian Colomitchi

Hi Adrian,

The next release V1.1.0 will come with an installer.
Both RanorexNet assemblies (for Framework 1.1 and 2.0) will have a strong-name, so they can be installed in the GAC.
(RanorexCore must be copied into the Windows\System32 directory or the location of the RanorexCore.dll must be added to the PATH in the system environment variables).

We hope, we can release the V1.1.0 version end of February (or at the beginning of March).

Please contact us if you need this functionality earlier.

Hi Jenö,

many thanks for the quick (as usual) reply.
End of February will do for us.

Best regards,
