Handling Basic Authentication

Post by sdaly » Fri Aug 12, 2011 8:07 am

How does everyone else handle basic authentication across multiple browsers? The login box and rxpaths are different depending on the browser, the version and the OS....

I have everything working using lots of tryfind's etc but is there a better way to do it? I know it's easy to create an HTTP request in C# with basic authentication but then that would be just for that request and not the browser i'm testing in.

Are there any plans for basic authentication support to be added to Ranorex?

Take it no one else deals with basic authentication then?!

Ranorex...Will built-in support be added for this to make it easier?

Currently there is nothing on our roadmap, but I will add a feature request to our bug tracking system and then this feature will be discussed on our next roadmap meeting. But I cannot guarantee you that such a feature will be added to Ranorex.
