I don't get this.

Step 1.

Open your AUT (the application or website you want to automate).

Is this in Ranorex Studio, on your device, or what?

In Ranorex Spy, press the Track-Button.

This seems to be tracking elements from my Desktop PC, which is not what I am after. I want to see the elements in the Application running on my device.

In the AUT, track an element specific to your issue.
(move to mouse cursor to the AUT, wait for a red boarder to appear around the element and perform a left-click)

Again, this seems to be referring to things on my PC, when it is the App running on my Android I need a snapshot of.

If I wanted a screenshot from my Desktop, I can use the Snipping Tool.

In your case the AUT (application under test) is the app, which is installed on the mobile device.

Unfortunately, from-point tracking is not possible for mobile apps.

Please use Ranorex Spy to navigate to the app manually and create the Ranorex Snapshot.
