How to run a single smart folder from command line ?

Post by mvlismas » Tue Nov 13, 2018 6:02 pm

I am using Ranorex studio 8.1.

My layout is similar to this:

Project
>Test suite 123
>>Test case 123
>>>Smart folder 123
>>>>Recording modules 123
>>>Smart folder 456
>>>>Recording modules 456
>>> Smart folder 789
>>>> Recording modules 789

From a command line I want to run Smart folder 123 only, then the testing stops after completing Smart folder 123. Here is the command line argument that I am executing...

command line>project.exe /testcase: Smart folder 123

So the tests start with the correct test case, but keeps going to the rest of the smart folders. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for any help!

Hi,

At first, Ranorex 8.1 is already outdated and no longer supported. Please update Ranorex with most recent 8.3. I just tried your structure and it works fine for me. Once the smartfolder is called from the command line, Ranorex runs just the given smartfolder.
