identification of legacy-Delphi elements

Post by SuperBodek » Mon Apr 03, 2017 8:56 am

i'm stuck on the following issue for a couples of days now:

when tracking a Delphi-based ui, only some of the elements are tracked.
a few elements are tracked alternately.

i've found no consistency on when it does work.. either using the external-spy, studio's spy, 32\64bit versions...

this problem occures to the same elements every time - as though some of the elements are "problomatic" somehow.

i'm running ranorex 6.1 on an x64 windows 7 system.

thanks in advance:)

Unfortunately, without examining the problematic app, exact scenario and error messages, it would be very hard (next to impossible) to tell what's wrong. If you cannot post the entire app, please create a set of snapshots, taken when the elements are correctly identified and also when not.

BTW, Ranorex 6.1 is too old and no longer supported. Please update to 6.2.1. or latest 7.0.
