iFrames jumps erratically in Firefox and IE when try to click on the web element

Post by fatima » Tue Sep 11, 2018 4:56 pm

OS: Windows 10 Pro
Browsers: FF, IE11

In order to complete certain tasks, pop up iframes appear.
Some of the elements are not visible on the screen of a popup iframe. I click page down to get to the particular web element. But the iframe erratically goes up again as soon as mouse tries to click. It recognizes that the element is present but the screen does not stay at the same place for it to click. Please let me know what other information you need from my side to resolve this scenario.

Hi,

The “jumping” you are describing is most probably caused by “Ensure visible” property, which is by default enabled in Ranorex settings and each repository elements has this property enabled. Ensure visible (if enabled) is performed before each action for given element. What you can try is to disable this property per individual problematic element (in repository properties) or disable it for good in Ranorex settings.
