Hello,
In my testsuite I am doing some image validations.
At some point it gave me the error Could not locate image for ID 'fa96305c-f3ca-44e1-88be-0dab8859b73f'.
It seems that I can't make new screenshots to validate images on because I keep getting that error.
Does anyone know how this can be fixed?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Image validation gives error, could not locate image ID
Hello Matthias005,
In order to analyze the issue I would need more detailed information.
May I ask which version of Ranorex you currently use?
Does this issue occur only for a specific screenshot?
May I ask if you can delete this screenshot manually and re-record this specific action again?
Another way would be adding a new validation screenshot and removing the old one.
After this step, you need to replace the old screenshot from the action table with the new one.
Please let me know if this solved the issue.
Regards,
Johannes

Re: Image validation gives error, could not locate image ID
Hello Johannes,
I am using Ranorex version 5.4.3.
It happens to all of my recent added screenshots and when I try to add a new one like you said it still gives me the same error. I can't seem to add a new image validation to my testsuite.
Regards,
Matthias

Re: Image validation gives error, could not locate image ID
Hello Matthias,
Unfortunately, the issue was not reproducible on my machine.
It would be great if you could upload your compressed Ranorex Solution.
If you want, you could also send the solution to [email protected].
This would help me analyzing the issue.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Image validation gives error, could not locate image ID
Hello Ranorex Support,
I am facing the same issue. When I run the compare image command as a standalone module, it works fine but when I try to run the entire suite, I get the error 'Could not locate image with ID....'. I tried all possible things written on this post but I still see the same error while using compare image command. Can you please help me with it?
Thank you
