Input box Placeholders in IE10

Post by brgibb » Mon Oct 28, 2013 5:58 pm

Does anyone know of any issues with the Spy Tool recognising Input box Placeholders in IE10.

I have a web log in screen where Placeholders are being used instead of user instruction labels.

When using the site in Chrome the Spy tool picks up the element and the Placeholder attribute with its text value in this case of either "Username" or "Password".

But when using the site in IE10 it doesn't. Spy simply thinks it's blank. See attachment.

I believe Placeholders are supported in IE10 but not prior to that.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting this issue!
I will analyze why the value of the placeholder is not displayed and will get back to you as soon as possible.
