For instance, I would like to try & find a search icon (magnifying glass) in my Evernote project.
Is there any SPECIFIC instruction for Android? Desktop instructions will not do.
Is image-based recognition possible for Android?

Image Based actions are currently only supported for validation steps on mobile applications.
I'm afraid you will need to use a RanoreXPath to identify your specific elements.
