Is there a way to edit default Ranorex report template?

Post by odklizec » Tue Feb 04, 2014 9:40 am

Hi,

Is there a way to edit default Ranorex report template?

I wish to edit the default Ranorex report template to display actual iteration datarow next to the iteration number. Something like discussed >here<.

I know I can create a custom template, but this means I need to edit each newly created template file to meet my needs. Therefore, I wish to edit the DEFAULT report template. Sadly, I can't find the appropriate file. The only report template file I found is available in Samples\CustomReportTemplate\RanorexReport4.xsl but this is not the default template file used by Ranorex. Is there another template file hidden somewhere else or the default template is always generated from the Ranorex code? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Unfortunately it is not possible to change the default template for Ranorex reports since the template is handled internally. In order to change the report please use customized report templates. Thank you for your understanding.

Regards,
Robert

Hi Robert,

Thanks for the reply. I thought it would be such case. OK, not a big deal. I can handle it using the custom report template. But it would be really nice to have an option to edit the default template in future. Have a nice day!
