Java version issue if run on different machine

Post by jchou » Sat Oct 06, 2012 3:01 am

When I ran my Ranorex .exe on a different machine, which Java version was different from that of the machine the .exe was created. I had some problems. Then I reinstalled the same version of Java on that machine, and it worked.
My question: is it required to have same Java version on the machine where you run the .exe file as the machine you created the .exe?

Hello,

Yes, it is helpful to have the same Java version on the machine where you run the test and on the machine where the test was created because it could be that the elements are created differently in the each java version.
