Language tests experiences

Post by artur_gadomski » Fri Oct 29, 2010 7:16 am

Hi
So far in my company Language tests have been manual. They consist of searching for text cut off's and not translated text. It's a rather labor intensive and brainless job so we'd like to automate it.
Has any of you used Ranorex for language tests? What are your experiences with language tests?
Any tips or pitfalls I should avoid?

I saw thx.
I thought I'd create this topic as a more general: experiences with language testing automation.

I was thinking that I could make a recording going through different forms in English and recording various elements using image validation. Then when I change a language and inverse (NOT, !) all validation I would get a test that fails on non translated text.

But I still need to try it out.
