Hi. We have got the floating license for Ranorex. I installed Trial version on my laptop, launch Ranorex studio trial version and from there connect to License server which works perfectly. Now recently i take remote of my dev server, install trial version and when launched it and attempt to connect to license server, it gives me following error.
The license server XXXXX could not be contacted. Do you want to change the licensing config now?
The current server name differs from the one installed.
License server connect issue
Re: License server connect issue
Hi,
Have you tried to ping the license server form remote dev. machine? Also, make sure there is open TCP and UDP port 7266 on that remote dev. machine! If you cannot open port 7266, you can configure Ranorex lic. server and client to use different port, as described here:

Re: License server connect issue
Hello,
As odklizec described, please verify the TCP and UDP ports are open and can be accessed. Furthermore, if connecting the License Manager via the hostname doesn't work you can also try to connect to it via its IP.
If you continue to experience this issue, please send us an email at [email protected] and we will be glad to further assist you.
Thanks,
Andy
