Link button not recognized

Post by Rakesh123 » Wed May 08, 2013 3:09 am

Hi,

I am trying to automate delphi application using Ranorex.

In dephi we have an object named as 'TPaintPanel'.So the problem with this object is if there are any other objects present inside this object(TPaintPanel) those objects are not recognized by Ranorex.Only the texts will be recognized by using Rawtext Plugin.

I have lot of Link buttons inside this 'TPaintPanel' object and all have same text. Now I need to click on one of the link button inside this TPaintPanel object to get another screen.

So how can I click on the specific Link button?

Pls solve this ASAP

Thanks,
Rakesh

Hello,

In order to analyze the issue it would be very helpful to get a Ranorex snapshot file.
Would it be a workaround to use the index in order to get the correct button?
Thank you.

Regards,
Bernahrd

Hi,

Please find the attached snap shot for the above issue.

I don't know how to find the workaround using index.

Thanks,
Rakesh

Hello,

Thank you for the snapshot file.
Did you already try to add the class name to the GDI capture list. Please read the section "Testing of Legacy Applications" in order to get more information how to do this.
Please let me know if this works.
