Hello,

I'm a big fan of your tool set. When we made the decision to use Ranorex, we were planning on using several local devices. We are using some Simulator and Emulators to give us more device coverage. Our stakeholders don't fully trust the Simulator/Emulators and want more coverage on actual devices. We are looking into using a mobile device cloud service since it is not economically feasible to buy every combination of device / OS.

Are there any plans to add support for device cloud services?

Hello Tung,

If the device is reachable via an IP address in your network (much like the xcode simulators) Ranorex can interact with it. As for completely cloud based devices, as of now there are no plans to support such devices.

Oh really. A few months ago, I was told that Ranorex is working out some type of a deal with Mobile Labs to support Cloud based testing and that Ranorex has been tested to work with the Mobile Labs cloud systems. If everything goes well, I was told that this should be ready early next year.
