New Edition Type

Post by atom » Fri Mar 30, 2012 5:23 pm

Hiya,

For execution of tests -> Runtime edition
For coding of tests -> Professional or Premium edition

However to me there is a need for a new edition type that contains:
- Runtime + Spy + Recorder

This can be used by Business analysts/manual testers to quickly record their object repository and test cases, which will be later passed to automation engineers to make robust.
Without such a package, when BA's/Manual Testers ask for a quick way to build automated tests - it means buying the Professional/Premium edition - which is too costly.

Thanks,
Clayton

Infact for Visual Studio users - another package type could be Runtime+Spy only

That is the same as the "Ranorex Professional Edition", right? Or do you mean something different?

Hiya,

Yes for Visual Studio users - we only need Spy, Recorder, Runtime
But we have to pay for (and never use) Ranorex Studio also

Thanks,
Clayton

Okay, as Tobias mentioned we will discuss this internally and we will publish it if we decide to add a new edition.
