Hi,
In what situations or regions does Ranorex outperform free automation alternatives? What supports its price?
For my project's testing tool implementation, I have two possibilities. While we simultaneously test native mobile, online, and desktop applications, mobile is our primary focus, and web+desktop tests make up only 10% of all tests.
Using TestStack and Appium for mobile is my suggestion.
All three are included: White/FlyUI for desktop and something for the web.
by utilising VS.
Purchase or use of Ranorex is another option. But what benefit does Ranorex offer? Does it merit it?

If use Ranorex Studio:
Low entry threshold. Quick result. Relatively stable operation.
1-2 day => you have working E2E,
1-2 week => you have Data Driven Tests.
Next go to more user code.
Next you can use only API with VS.
I try start squish froglogic, it's simple for your dev team and support linux/win platform, but usability for qa very poor, and it's no zero cost.
My opinion Test Complete (+/- same price) is not stable.
If need test only mobile/web then the Ranorex isn't best way.
To Ranerex team:
What about the price, now the license allows you to continue using if you don't need an update and support without any paid?
