Hi,
Please update to 3.3.1, as we fixed an issue with the "Play Selected Item/s" functionality.
You will find the link to the actual version on the start page of Ranorex Studio.

Yes, upgrading to the latest 3.3.1 release appears to have fixed the issue.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: Play Selected Item plays the whole recording
I'm afraid, this problem is still there. I experienced it today in one specific project and I can still reproduce it in that project (even after closing the project, restarting ranorex and loading the project back). I will try to reproduce it in other project. It seems it does not matter how many steps are selected or if I save the project before running it. I will keep you informed.
UPDATE:
I think I found the cause of this issue. It happens if the project file is open outside the Studio IDE (for example by double clicking the *.rxsln file in the file explorer). Since then, no matter how many recorded lines are selected, "Play selected" always replays entire scenario.
Please find an example project in the attached file. It shows the problem, regardless of the way you load the file.

Re: Play Selected Item plays the whole recording
Hi,
I executed your solution but it worked as expected.
What do mean with outside the studio, if you double click on the "rxsln" file Ranorex Studio will be automatically opened.

Strange. Yes, double clicking rxsln opens Ranorex Studio and loads the project file. There is just something different in the project loading procedure that may causes this issue?
I just checked the same project on another virtual machine (WinXP64) and it worked OK for the first time. But after some more attempts, it fired back. So there is something else required to reproduce this issue. I will keep you informed.
