Problem to get license from server

Post by andreas.tastler » Wed Mar 16, 2011 2:16 pm

Hi all

I recently upgraded from Ranorex 2.3 to Ranorex 3.0
We running UITests on a build server with CruiseControl.Net and have a license server which hosts a Premium Developer and a Runtime license. On the buildserver I have installaed Ranorex Studio, but usually we run tests by calling the executable. When I run the UITests on the buildserver the followin error occures:

The license server 'ISAGDEV01' was contacted, but no suitable license was available. Please add additonal licenses to your license server or wait until licenses become available.

I checked the license server: Premium License is leased, Runtime license is free.
I also used the Install Ranorex License tool and changed the License Type to Runtime.
I think the runtime license should be enought to run testcases. How can I force ranorex to lease the runtime license?

Thank you.
Andreas

Hi,

You need a valid subscription if you want to update to a new major release of Ranorex. Do you have a valid subscription for your runtime license?

Hi,

You're right, I only have a valid subscription for the premium license. Where can I purchase a subscription for the existing runtime license?

Regards,
Andreas
