Ranorex doesn't find the UI Element in Web View2 after setting the Remote Debugging Port on 8081

Post by Benedikt Bichler » Fri Oct 01, 2021 8:36 am

Hello,

i use Ranorex version 9.5.3 and have problem with my remote agents and the identification of the Ui-elements in WebView2. Ranorex opens the WebView2 in my application and does not find a tracked Ui element and the following message appears.
Image
On the local machine I have no problems with the test and we have set in our application the remote debugging port on 8081 as it says in the error message.

For tips and tricks to solve the problem I am grateful.
Thanks,
Benedikt

Hi,

Unfortunately, the image you posted is lost? Also, please try to reproduce the problem with most recent Ranorex 10.1.1. Ranorex 9.5.3 is obsolete and no longer supported.

At next, please post the xpath you are looking for (as stored in repository) and create a Ranorex snapshot (NOT screenshot) of the problematic element on the target machine. Then post the snapshot here. Thanks.

  • Ranorex xPath of problematic element(s)
  • Ranorex version
  • OS version
  • HW configuration
