Hi , right now I'm looking for an automation GUI tools for my project, Ranorex seems an option for me.
My project is developing using the Qt framework(version 4.7.4), running on the embeded linux OS(ubuntu), the device is with a large touch screen and I want to execute the automation test on the real device.
So, could Ranorex be able to do that? running on the windows and send the command to the device through a USB cable.
Thanks a lot

Hi,

Sorry but Ranorex doesn't support the OS Linux at all. You are also not possible to connect to a remote device or machine and execute steps. This will only be available with the new upcoming Android Plug-In. Then you are able to automate your Android with Ranorex via WLAN, but you also have to instrument these apps.melstar wrote:So, could Ranorex be able to do that? running on the windows and send the command to the device through a USB cable.
