We are using Ranorex 9.3 version. Automating LabVantange, a third party LIMS website, requires us to use Ranorex instrumentation wizard being pre-installed in the chrome browser extension. Once it is being installed, automation runs fine. However, sometimes middle of test execution, the extension got removed, many times when Ranorex opens the browser for a new test run, the test fails because the extension got auto uninstalled. Especially, the extension got uninstall in the middle of a test execution is bothersome.
Any solution to this problem?
Ranorex Instrumentation Wizard keep getting removed from chrome extension
Re: Ranorex Instrumentation Wizard keep getting removed from chrome extension
Hi,
I guess you should ask your IT/security team if the extension is not uninstalled by the company sec. policy and eventually add it to the white list.

Re: Ranorex Instrumentation Wizard keep getting removed from chrome extension
Hi, odklizec,
Thanks for your reply. I reached out to our Tech support, particularly the guy who manage/block extension. He said that we don't block any Ranorex extension. Moreover, he re-install all my system files to see if there was any malfunction. We did not find anything that may keep instrumentation wizard removed from chrome extension.
Do you think that it may cause by the mismatch of old Ranorex version (9.3.3) and latest chrome app? Or, is it possible that Lab Vantage app probably have something that is messing with Ranorex extension?
