Ranorex mac support?
Ranorex mac support?
I'm a student in software testing and I'm going to learn to use the Ranorex soon but I'm wondering is there any plans to support so Ranorex will work on the mac in the future?
Re: Ranorex mac support?
Ranorex is built on Microsoft's .NET platform. Ranorex requires access to certain parts of the OS that may not be possible on a Mac, not to mention that .NET doesn't run on Mac OSX (without using Mono, which isn't supported by Ranorex).
I believe they are looking into ways to do it, but there is no word on when or even if it will actually happen.
Now that .NET is open source, that might make it easier, but that still leaves the issue of Mac locking down their systems in such a way that some of the things Ranorex is able to do on a Windows system may not work on OSX.
