In general, if your tests are developed and run on one (supported) operating system, they will also run on all other (supported) operating systems - provided that the application is the same and also behaves the same on all OSs.elis wrote:Does Ranorex supports OS compatibility?
As you already wrote, Windows Explorer changed dramatically from Windows XP to Windows Vista (and higher Windows versions). It is actually a new application only with the same name. That's why tests developed for Windows XP Explorer will not run properly with the Windows Vista/7 Explorer. Sorry for that!
If you just need Windows Explorer to start an application, I recommend using the "Run Application" recorder action instead which works the same on all supported Windows OSs.
