Ranorex Remote Desktop

Hi
I bought Ranorex Premium.(Now version Ranorex 5 ).I have a question.
I install Ranorex Windows Server and I connect the windows server.
I want to prepare Test Case on Remote Desktop (Windows Server 2012)
Does it run correctly ?
Because I read tutorial Remotly Working Ranorex (Page 413)

I do not decided.I try it but test cases do not run correctly .
Have you got any idea or solutions this my questions ?

Note :
My application is Web application (Language : java and Flash Flex application.)
I prepared test case on google chrome.

Please provide more information about your problem.

Which actions of your recordings fail?
Can you upload a Report-File. This would help us to analyze your issue in detail.

Hi Markus

I install Ranorex on remote desktop .I want to use on remote desktop manager .
But my test case is not correctly on RDM. I look your tutorial page 413 then ı read about this problem.

1) Ranorex install my local computer , my applicaton on remote desktop ..Is it run correctly ?
2) Ranorex install remote desktop , application on remote desktop .. Is it run correctly ?

Can ı explain my problem ?

Hi Can,

as you already read in our User-Guide, it is not possible to automate an application running on a Remote Desktop when Ranorex is running on your local machine. You have to run both (Ranorex and the Application Under Test) on the same machine.

Please follow this points to successfully record and replay Test Scripts on remotely connected machines:
  • Do not Automate via Remote Desktop Window
    Do not Close or Minimize the RDP Window
    Disable Mouse/Keyboard Activities
    Use same Color and Resolution Settings
    Increase Timeouts on Virtual Machines
    Disable Asynchronous Dispatching of Mouse and Keyboard Events
