Ranorex supports Delphi 5?

Post by 2raju.varun » Fri Mar 19, 2021 1:53 pm

My team is evaluating a Desktop application, built with below programming software.

The application is 32 bit application
Application is built mostly on Delphi VCL.
Delphi 5 is the version on Delphi.

Additional info.
90 % of the Desktop application is in Delphi 5
The rest and increasing: C# (.net)
There are also some components in C++ and some external components (like Foxit)

Before installing the trial version, I want to make sure that Delphi 5 is supported by Ranorex.

Earlier, my team tried with Microfocus UFT One (that supports Delphi but not version 5) and Rational tools. The issues observed are it is not able to identify the objects.

Looking for some directions here.

Hi 2raju.varun,

Ranorex Studio is fully compatible with Delphi, C#, and C++ languages. You can find a full list of our supported technologies here:
In regards to FoxIt, I have not had any issues with the reader for cursory tests, and it seems to behave just fine. Your specific scenario and use-case may affect this, but I do not see any issues with FoxIt Reader and Ranorex on my machine.
